We want to tell you about a wonderful land - Azerbaijan, its unique nature, centuries-old culture, history, ancient inhabitants of this land - its life, _DSC6124.jpgcustoms and traditions that harmoniously combine elements of different cultures and civilizations.

Azerbaijan is a geographical name. On the one hand, this name is due to the fact that the majority of the population living in this area long before the era was fire-worshipers. In other words, the people living in this area considered fire to be a god and worshiped fire. "Azer" means fire. On the other hand, it is from the word "Azer" of Turkish origin in ancient times in the territory of Azerbaijan. "Azer" consists of "az" and "er". In Turkish, "az" means good intentions, good luck. "Azer" means "husband", "husband's son", "fire guard". So, "Azerbaijan" was formed on behalf of the ancient Turkic-speaking tribe living in this area.
